The Sixth Sun
What if the key to humanity’s future lies buried in the patterns of its past?
In The Sixth Sun, Ted Barber takes readers on an extraordinary intellectual odyssey-one that spans 4,300 years into our future. Through bold speculation and provocative insight, Barber reimagines the course of civilization beyond the modern age, guided by the rise and fall of five previous “suns” or epochs.
Drawing from history, myth, science, and philosophy, this mind-bending work weaves a compelling narrative about humanity’s next great transformation. Will we evolve into a unified global consciousness or fracture under the weight of our own advancements? Is our fate written, or do we hold the power to redefine it?
The Sixth Sun is not just a book-it’s a challenge to rethink time, destiny, and the legacy we leave behind. If you’ve ever wondered what comes after now, this book dares you to look ahead-and dream bigger.

What if Americans grew tired of constant political party rivalries?
What if an Independent offered true change and was elected?
What if the new President had dirt on all Congress people and judges and could control them?
What if financial burdens were lifted off the people and they became prosperous while the President disabled Congress and the courts to shells of their former selves?
What if he became President for life, a dictator? Would the distracted people notice?
What if one man did notice? Could one man change the course of history?
The Author – Ted Barber
His parents encouraged his siblings and himself before kindergarten to become avid readers. At five years old he found a first grade reader on the sidewalk and mastered it before he ever went to school. In school he excelled in writing, always choosing historical subjects for class reports. His interest in history came from touring different parts of the U.S. (and Europe one year) every summer as a child including a trip to the “colonies” in 1976 for the ultimate bicentennial celebrations. In his senior year (high school) he was chosen editor of the creative writing magazine. Life circumstances forced him to choose to leave university in his junior year, but his writing never stopped nor his love for history. He never understood why some people thought history boring because he saw that a phrase here or a decision there could’ve altered everything. That’s when he started investigating the “what if” of alternate history and the concept of “history repeating itself.” His editorial letters have appeared in several newspapers. Having perfected his technique (both in research and form) and choosing a genre he is familiar with, he now wishes to share his gift for storytelling with the world. His nine year old daughter has had the advantage of having several children’s stories written for her that almost always have historical or mythical lessons. Those stories she has enjoyed as he hopes you will enjoy this one.
